Gladys Frances Walton

Gladys Frances Walton passed away on September 28th, 2016. She died peacefully with her husband and family by her side. Gladys was born in Yonkers, New York to Joseph and Lucy Mancuso. She met and married her husband, Eddie Walton, in Tucson Arizona in 1947. After they married, they moved about the US with Eddie’s work and settled in San Diego some 51 years ago and built a life together. Gladys and Eddie have two children, David and Deborah. Together they raised their children in Clairemont and attended Saint Mary Magdalene parish. While the children grew, she worked in retail clothing in an office support capacity and later at Citicorp Bank.
Gladys is survived by her husband Eddie; son David; his children Jonathan and wife Katherine, Colleen and William; great grandchildren Trevor, Jackson and Jonathon. Her daughter Deborah and son-in-law Jacques, their children Jen, Denise and Glenn; great grandchildren Isabella, Riley, Jacques, Celida and Rochelle. Her sister Cathy Brock; son Rick, daughters Janet, Kathleen and Candice along with many nephews and nieces.
Celebration of her life begins with a rosary which will be held Thursday, October 13th at Clairemont Mortuary starting at 11:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. that same day. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity in Gladys’ name would be appreciated.
Gladys was a loving wife, devoted Catholic, caring mother and kind to everyone she met and knew. She will be Greatly missed.

  1. Gladys & Ed you never seen them apart. They always were together hanging around the house or at Troy's eating out at Clairemont Square or running errands in San Diego. Very sweet couple and well liked by her neighbors. We will miss her charming presence dearly. Our Condolences to Ed from Larry & Diane Carmel – Stonehaven close by neighbors.
