The family moved from Texas to San Diego in 1942 and Sylvia graduated from San Diego High School in 1946.

  1. Sylvia and I sat across from each other when we worked on the 9th floor of the City Administration Building. She, of course, was working for Terry Flynn. I was working for Sue Williams, the Personnel Director. We both were busy people, but we still had time for a good laugh. I can still hear her laugh. It alone would make me laugh. She was one of the happiest people I knew and always had a smile ready for everyone. I have been in Hemet, CA for about 12 years and during that time we still communicated. She was a really good friend to me and I will miss her greatly. I know without a doubt she and Terry are with the Lord and are at peace together sharing life stories.

  2. So sad to hear of Sylvia's passing. She was a classy lady whom I knew all the way back in the 1970s when she and Bill and a bunch of us City employees would drive down to Popotla trailer park in Baja for fun weekends of lobster, tequila and laughs. And I continued my friendship with Sylvia after we retired and I was secretary of the Retired Employees Association. She did so much for the Association as hard working treasurer for so many years. EVERYBODY knew and loved Syl. Rest in peace.
