Virginia “Jennye” Lee Pate was born in Augusta, AR on November 23, 1936 and went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016.

Everyone knew her as “Jennye”. No one was ever a stranger to her, she welcomed everyone with open arms, started conversations with people everywhere she went. Encouraged and lifted people up and looked for the good in everything. She always made at least 1 new friend each day somewhere along the way. She was definitely a one of a kind person and will be dearly missed.

Jennye is survived by her husband Porter Pate, son Ian Pate, daughter Lisa Pate-Deans, 4 grandchildren Roman (18), Ashley (15) Noah (15) Andrew (10).

A viewing will take place Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Clairemont Mortuary. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 11am at Clairemont Emmanuel Baptist Church.

  3. I AM SO HAPPY I GOT TO SPEND TIME WITH JENNYE ON FRIDAY BEFORE HER DEMISE. HE WAS SO CHEERFUL,AND SMILING AND CRACKING JOKES,AND VERY HAPPY,AND TELLING SHE WAS HAVING HER PIC CATHETER PUT IN ON TUESDAY,FOR THE CHEMO BECAUSE HER VEINS WERE SO HARD TO FIND. SHE LOOKED VERY GOOD,AND HAD HER HAIR STYLED ON FRIDAY MORNING,SO SHE WAS HER LOOKING GOOD,BUT TIRED. NOW SHE HAS NO USE FOR HER PIC CATHETER,NOR CHEMO OR ANDY MORE MEDS,OR TRIPS TO THE LABORATORY FOR BLOOD DRAW,OR DOCTOR'S VISITS.L SHE HAS HER NEW BODY,AND FREE OF CANCER,AND FACE TO FACE WITH JESUS. PRAYERS TO PORTER AND FAMILY FOR GOD'S PEACE AND STRENGTH.
