I got to know Jean when Deo and I moved to San Diego for college after getting out of the Army. Deo, of course, knew Jean for years since his family lived next door . An awkward, shy newlywed, I was welcomed by Jean with open arms and her kind heart. We shared cookouts, birthday and holiday parties- and she was hostess for the baby shower for our Jennie. I had my first cannoli and pizzelle in her ever bountiful kitchen. We have missed her since we returned to active duty in 1982, but kept in touch. We have such great memories of Jean's kindness, friendliness, energy- and her great laugh! Loving memories of joy and love, a life well spent. Ti vogliamo bene

Jean was a very special person and was always a part of our group for every special occasion. Whether it was her homemade eggplant Parmesan or her frozen margaritas, she always added her touch to our special get togethers. I came to know her on a more personal level by talking to her on the phone for an hour or more every two weeks for the last 2 years in addition to our visits. What stays with me was her sense of humor and generosity. When we visited she would always give us to go containers of her special baked biscuits or cookies and old time candies she had found. A very special smart lady and I am going to miss her. Rest In Peace Jean. My deepest sympathies to her family.

My Swannie was an amazing friend, confidant and ultimate party girl. When I met Jean she was networking about 4 groups, matching colors, and organizing events..all with a newfound life freedom.. She danced, played and did the work to climb that telephone pole... then she jumped! I was in awe of her determination and drive. She was my soul friend and I miss her. Safe journey Swannie.. please keep watching over me. Give big hugs to Jerry and Dottie for me ..like only you know how.

I met Jean in 1989 and be came close friends. She helped me and many others with their business and knowledge. There isn't enough words that can describe Jean. She was One in a million and I am blessed to have known her. I went to see her in April, I live in Huntington Beach and wanted her to know we all we praying for her. I never will forget her get Italian cooking was the best. My Mom and Dad knew her since we came from Wilkes Barre, Penn Sylvia which wasn't far from where she came from. I use to come down and stay with her when I did estate sales in San Diego. She always welcomed me and everyone knew she was always there for us. Keeping in touch by phone helped us keep connected. I will miss her sense of humor and laugh. I am glad she was in my life and made a difference to me and many others.

Known Jean for 25 yrs.Spent a wknd up in LA with Jean Robin and I doing toastmaster working are ass off.Results where she broke out of her quietness.Went to lunches and many dinners when she wasn’t busy and we would get donuts at Kristy Kreme her with her Apple fritters and me with any donuts and talk about politics and such.I would go visit and walk her Pitty Sammie who would love to stroll the blocks of Clairemont.I loved Jean very much,I will miss her company and stories.She loved Connie very much and everybody else that make an effort to visit her,Jean and Rose are in Gods hands now…❤️
