  1. Gale,

You and I e-mailed just days before you died. I appreciated your zeal, and desire to know the truth. I'm grateful for the times we were able to meet and discuss theology, as well as your generosity. I sometimes wonder what it was God was doing in allowing us to meet and build a friendship in the final years of your life. I hope that, in Christ's mercy, you grasped the grace of Jesus in your final days. I sensed that you felt the problems of Mormonism in light of Scripture, and history. Thank you for being willing to meet for lunch, and visiting our Bible study from time to time.

    Your friend,

  2. Gale, I enjoyed our many discussions regarding Mormonism and its differences with biblical Christianity. I'll never forget the time about 15 years ago when you did a public dialogue with Bill McKeever at Shadow Mountain. That took guts to do, even though you later told me that you wish you could have had a do-over. Discussions about BYU vs. SDSU was always a hoot as well. I think, down deep, you really liked me or you wouldn't have tried so hard to convert me to your faith. Sincerely, Eric Johnson
