Adolfo “Al” B. Rael
June 17, 1939- December 7, 2019
Adolfo Benedito Rael, 80 years of age, passed away peacefully at his home in San Diego, California on Saturday December 7, 2019. He was born on June 17, 1939  in Taos, New Mexico  to Cleotilda Abeyta and Joseph Rael.
He was a 1958 graduate of Costilla High School in Costilla, NM. After high school Adolfo joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA. 3 years later on December 16, 1961 he married the love of his life, Patricia. After serving 4 years in the Navy, he got hired on with Western Electric where he pursued a career in communications. After 47 years, he retired with Lucent Technologies.
Adolfo will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will also be remembered for his interests in sports and the daily crossword puzzle, his wildly entertaining jokes, witty sense of humor, his generosity, and willingness to open his home to anyone in need.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his sisters, Katie, Lupita, and Robin; his brother Johnny; his son Robert; his daughters Terry and Sherry; his daughter-in-law Kim; his son-in-laws John and Cade; his grandchildren Kayla, Cheyenne, Chelcy, Jessy, Courtney, and Cassie; his great-grandchildren Robert, Kaylee, Ella and Dakota; his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Patricia; his sisters Nila and Virginia.
A service will be held at 11am this Saturday at Clairemont Church of God, 4955 Conrad Avenue San Diego,Ca 92117
