Alexander Bandoquillo Buluran's Obituary
Alexander Bandoquillo Buluran, 45, of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, November 5th, 2023.
Alex was born on February 26, 1978 in the Philippines to Gerundio and Clarita Buluran. Alex and his family immigrated to the United States in 1982 and they settled in San Diego, California. Alex graduated from Kearny High School in 1996, after high school Alex moved to Denver, Colorado where he would attain his associates degree from Denver Community College.
Alex’s first son, Maxx James Shaw, was born on July 29, 1999.
Alex met Danielle Fant and they married on January 5, 2000. Danielle passed away in August of 2010. While living in CO, Alex worked odd jobs with his big brother, Chris, but found a passion working in audio and visual production for a large hotel chain in Denver, CO. He moved to Yakima, WA in 2009 with his then wife Danielle. In Yakima, Alex worked in television as a camera man for a local news station.
After the death of Danielle, Alex moved back to Denver, CO, where he met Sarah Ewing and they married on July 23, 2011. They have one child together, Oliver Jude Ewing Buluran, born October 23, 2015. Alex and Sarah settled in Fort Morgan, CO.
In 2021, Alex and his family moved to Beaufort, SC to help care for his parents Gerundio and Clarita Buluran. While in Beaufort Alex was self-employed as a delivery driver. Alex enjoyed going to the beach and movies with Oliver and just hanging out with the family.
Alex’s hobbies were watching sports, listening to music, playing video games, eating good food, and enjoying time with his family. He was a huge Chargers fan. He loved seeing them win and would get depressed after a loss. Alex loved making music. When he was a teenager he and his friends would write and produce rap songs. Even recently, Alex would listen to those old tracks. Alex had a large video game collection. In addition to the games, Alex collected things like Amiibos and character figurines.
Most important of all, Alex was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend.
Alex is predeceased by his father, Gerundio Buluran, and his first wife, Danielle Buluran. Alex is survived by his wife, Sarah Buluran, sons, Maxx Shaw and Oliver Buluran, his mama, Clarita Buluran, his siblings Chris (Aura) Buluran and Heide (Jon) Grams, his nephew, Ianne Buluran, and his dogs, Blueberry and Bowser Buluran.
His funeral service is on November 25th, 2023, at 11:00 am at Clairemont Mortuary, 4266 Mt Abernathy Ave, San Diego, CA 92117. Please send flowers to this address.
