Anthony Minniti's Obituary
Anthony Minniti passed away April 12, 2020, at the age of 92.
Born in Paulsboro New Jersey, Tony made San Diego his final home more than 60 years ago.
Tony had a great quest for knowledge and continued his education well into his adult years. He was a Merchant Marine in the 1940s. Worked at General Dynamics/Convair San Diego. He had several companies including Spectrum Realty, and was a General contractor as well. He was a quietly determined man who was successful in all his endeavors.
Tony was most known for his love of horses. Owning Thoroughbreds and racing was a passion of his for many years. He loved the thrill of taking a chance on something he believed in, and he believed in his horses. He passed that love on to many friends and family throughout the years.
A beloved father, grandfather, uncle, boss, and friend. He was loved by many, and will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his wife Edwina , daughter Kathleen. His parents Paulo Minniti, mother Laura (Morabiti), brothers John, and Joe ; sisters Lena, Martha, Mary , and Dolly. Also preceded by his dear friend, and sister in law, Anna Mae Minniti.
Tony is survived by son Bruce, Granddaughter Heather Jenkins, Grandson Justin Thompson, Great Grandchildren Cambria Craig, Matthew Jenkins, and Shelby Jarrett. Nephews & nieces ; John [Kathy] Minniti, Teresa {John] Stewart, Carol [Mike] Ksiazek, Michael Minniti, and their families.
Celebration of Life & Burial at Sea will take place at a later date when family can come together.
