Atanas Jeliaskov Donev's Obituary
Atanas Donev, age 89, passed away peacefully. Born on January 31, 1936, in Palausova, Bulgaria, Atanas spent his early years in his hometown until the age of 15. He was the firstborn of twin children to parents Jeliasko and Dina. Atanas dedicated his professional life to working as a miner and a welder, retiring in 1986 after 50 years of hard work. In retirement, he found joy in taking care of animals and gardening, living in Meden Rudnik, a city in Burgas, Bulgaria. On December 16, 1958, Atanas married the love of his life, Katerina, in Burgas. Together, they built a loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife Katerina, his sons Georgi and Jivko, his granddaughter Katerina, his daughter-in-law Nadia, and his great-grandson Zeke. Atanas cherished his special friends Hristo, Ivo, Sofi, and Danka. Atanas had a passion for puzzles, plants, and vegetable growing. He enjoyed listening to Bulgarian folk music and was always ready to help family and friends. Known for his loving and protective nature, Atanas was a devoted family man who loved to dance. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
