I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of "Captain Kirkbride." He was a good friend to me, always easy to talk with, and always could provide a special bit of wisdom to what he said. I enjoyed working alongside him during the later 1970s, helping with the Animal Chit-Chat Show that took place next to his Seal Lion Show, at Wegeforth Bowl.I really enjoyed hearing his exciting stories, especially those of his experience working on the Disney movies; and the stories when he worked on the set and with the cast of "The Beverly Hillbillies."I am a motorcyclist; and I also enjoyed talking with him and hearing about his Honda CT90, that was often strapped to the bumper of his mobile home. Our shared appreciation for these type small motorcycles allowed us to share a special friendship (in my mind and heart, anyway) that I often thought of, even though our paths had gone separate ways, many, many years ago.I will always remember him fondly, and am so glad that we became friends; even if it was so many years ago. God Speed my friend…
