Mr Boris V Markevich's Obituary
Boris Markevich, 73 years old man, was born on May 25th, 1949, in St. Petersburg, USSR. He was the first and only child in the family. His parents were Vladimir and Ninel Markevich. He grew up in Georgia, city of Tbilisi, and moved to Kiev, Ukraine in 1966 to study aviation engineering in one of Kiev's colleges, where he obtained his master's degree. Right after graduation, he began his engineering career that would span several decades. In 1970 he married his wife, Irina in Kiev. Then, in 1973 their son Andrei was born. In 1986, right after Chernobyl's nuclear disater, he and his family have moved to Noyabrsk city in Siberia, where they have lived and worked for 4 years, after which they have returned to Kiev.
In 1995, seeking a better life for his family, Boris, Irina and Andrei relocated once again, this time to the United States of America, to sunny San Diego, California. Boris has begun new chapter of his life as an engineer of the premier San Diego construction companies Helix Electric, where he has been working for nearly 18 years. He retired in 2016.
In his new home country, he has found new and special friends like the Tellerman family, the Robin family, the Germin family as well as Rafael Kalendarev, Lev Zegelman and many more.
He was always a positive, friendly, kind, supportive and strong person, and he left an unforgettable mark on the lives of many. He loved playing tennis when he was younger. In his later years, he has dedicated much of his time building family genealogical tree, going back centuries, to keep the history of his bloodline alive and known to his family. He loved classical music as well as some modern bands. His favorite was The Beatles.
He is survived by his wife Irina, his son Andrei, his daughter-in-law Irina and by his grandchildren Daniel and Mila, and his nephew Dennis.
