Aloha to Carl Mehr
Nothing but fond memories of Mr. Humble. I still smile this very days when I flash back to moments and events where he had the chance to blow a fuse. He'd stop himself and find a solution, a humble solution. One where he'd eye me or the target another person made of themselves and then move on. Proud of his ability to be humble.
Carl and Marilyn were like mentors, while the girls , Karen, Debbie and Anita were sweet cousins to me and Eric be like a brother. One great family.
I met Carl through sailing and he handed me a job at the "Hotel California" The Oak Inn be. Provided me a apartment room for a year which helped me get a B.A. from SDSU that humble man did. Twice he flew out here to Hawaii, last time being 2015. When he came out to show his support for a book I wrote. Doubt he ever read a single word of it. It didn't then and doesn't now mean a thing as the show of support is what mattered.
Rest assured Carl will always get a spontaneous flash back prayer of support from me for the Day of Judgement.
Aloha, Bruce
