Carol Geraldine Curley's Obituary
Carol was born in Winnipeg, Canada in 1935. She drove down to San Diego with her family and her dog Skippy in 1951. She met Edward Curley in 1955 at the USO and was married to him for 53 years! She will be greatly missed by her 5 children, Michael, Charles, Caroline, Edward and Kate, her 5 children in law Sylvia, Gina, Lee, Elizabeth and Chico, also her 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her niece, nephew, cousin and all her friends. She had many jobs in her life but her best was being a mom. She was a medical transcriptionist for 20 years and a volunteer at Scripps for 20 more. She got her law degree while her youngest Kate was a baby. She loved playing piano, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing and cooking. She loved being outside and enjoying nature and she loved spending time with her family and friends. And she loved her pets. She was super intelligent and passionate about learning. She was also spontaneous, silly, sassy, spunky, charismatic, gutsy, brave, tough, fun loving, optimistic, and a great storyteller. She was loving and kind. She loved popcorn and ice cream and the show Grey's Anatomy. We will miss her everyday but just like Dad/Grandpa she will always be in our hearts.
