Charles David Huey's Obituary
CHARLES (CHUCK) DAVID HUEY
1962-2015
Chuck passed away unexpectedly, and too soon, on December 17, 2015. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on a frigid January 8 Monday in 1962 to Gilbert & Myrna (Howland) Huey. His father moved the family to San Diego in 1964 settling in the Bay Park/Clairemont area. After graduating from the University of San Diego High School in 1980, he pursued the skills and a career in masonry. He is predeceased by his parents and ex-wife, Janet Huey. Chuck will be greatly missed by his siblings Edith, Gilbert Jr. (GJ), Theresa, and Steven, 7 nieces, 1 nephew, & 5 great-nieces. All of his family and friends will remember Chuck for his love of family; warm personality; easy, infectious laugh; devotion to his beloved dog, Coco; his proudly amassed collection of movies & TV program DVD sets; and his passion for WWII history and movies. Most of all, Chuck was especially proud of his commitment to his AA program and sobriety for 15+ years. Throughout the years working his program he was there for all those who traveled this path with him offering to listen, lend a hand or extend words of encouragement.
