Christina Anella's Obituary
We are sad to announce Christina Anella, 102, passed away on May 7, 2023 in San Diego, CA. She was born in Pastena, Italy on May 22, 1920 to John and Civita Corsi and later married Italo Anella. She was a great Italian cook, and it was one of the most important elements in her life. Holidays were always filled with family and friends enjoying her wonderful meals. She was a woman of great faith and worshiped at the Ascension Parish. As Christina aged, she became friends with the numerous ministers who would come to pray and give her communion every Sunday. Christina was a dedicated housewife who spent her lifetime running a household of four men; her father, husband and two boys. She loved playing cards as a pastime and spent hours playing with her family and friends while entertaining them at dinner. She is survived by her sons, John and Michael Anella, her grandson Alex Anella and his wife Katie Wu. Visitation will be at Clairemont Mortuary on May 10, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and church service on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Ascension Catholic Parish.
