Chris was my neighbor and she would most days go jogging in our neighborhood and on occasion if I was outside we would chat. She was a beautiful person inside and out and it didn't take to see the huge heart that she had for others and animals!! This world lost a great one but she has entered her rest!! So sorry for your loss Mark!!
I remember Chris from elementary school when we first met. Reading her obituary it made me smile to hear that she lived such a beautiful life. To her family and friends my deepest sympathies for your loss. God bless you.
I have so many fond memories of good times with Christine starting back to when my family and I moved to San Diego, Clairemont in 1971. Chris immediately became my best friend from the start. She even offered to share her school locker with me. I voted her best dressed on the block with her corduroy velvet burgundy pants, sweater, and dark brown suede lace up boots. I reminded her through out the years how good she looked in them. Chris loved to go to the beach with my mom driving us and other kids from the block after school. My mom and Chris' mom became friends also, and funny, both their names are Ann. My mom also drove us and Chris' mom to Mission Bay. Chris was a really fast runner and she would pass me on the way home from school with her Bright orange windbreaker. As, I grew up, I went in the military service and lost contacts with several people and Chris. After I got out of the Army, I returned to San Diego and one day I was walking at lunch in the Federal building where I saw the back of a wheelchair long Blonde hair that could only be Chris' hair. I called out her name and she vanished into the elevator. Later, my younger brother gave me a message he received from Chris and Mark to call her. Since then, I never lost connection with Chris again. I drove her to Borrego Springs and Julian for the day. I introduced her to my husband, Joe, and we drove her to Lake Wolford and Harrah's in Valley Center. Many good times to remember. Seeing Chris later in life going through hard times and praying for her comfort was challenging, but now we know she is at peace and in eternal life. Her memories will live on.
