Connie Elizabeth Taluban's Obituary
“Keep striving in life no matter what. At times things can get rough but JUST KNOW TO always turn to God for everything. He is there for us ALWAYS!” by Connie Taluban
Our beloved Connie Elizabeth Taluban died on December 30, 2024, from a pulseless electrical activity arrest, where there is no pulse, and the heart stops, at the age of 62. She was born on May 30,1962 in San Diego, California. She was the youngest of 6 children. For the last 7 years of her life, Connie was bedridden due to encephalitis of the brain. She was predeceased by her mother, Maria Mendiola Perez, father, Antonio Namauleg Perez, and brother Bobby Perez.
Connie attended Madison High School. While searching for her lost school ring in front of Madison High, Connie & David’s eyes met for the first time. She married David Lee Taluban, on his birthday, December 6th,1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada, a place that became their playground, a place they shared fun times with friends and family. Connie loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest with David.
Connie’s career with the San Diego Opera spanned 30 years as the front office manager and receptionist. She took great pride serving the San Diego arts community and the artists involved in the productions. She treasured the camaraderie within the San Diego Opera family over the years and supported all the opera performances.
Connie’s warmth, grace, kindness, generous heart and compassion touched many. Those who knew her could always count on Connie’s beautiful smile, kind and steady manner and clear insight to help soften a difficult time. Her love of God was unwavering, finding comfort for herself and others, knowing and believing in God.
Connie is survived by David Taluban, her life’s sweetheart and husband of 45 years. She loved her family the most. She will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by her siblings; Anthony Perez with wife Mona Perez, Carrie Perez Cooper with husband Tom Cooper, Avon Teague with the late Donald Teague, Rick Perez with wife Shirley Perez, and all of her beautiful nieces and nephews.
While many will feel emptiness and the loss of Connie’s presence, many will find comfort that she is in a better place. A beautiful soul has been called to rest in the eternal garden under the care of our lord God. May her spirit continue to be present with you and may Connie's soul rest in peace and continue to watch over you and grant you strength.
