Back in the 1960's my best friend was Joe Matibag and Dalmacio was his Dad. Mr. Matibag (as I always called him) was always so nice to me and I had a lot of respect for him. He was a straight up guy. He was a partner with my Dad in getting Lindbergh Park created across the street from their homes in Kearney Mesa. I was grateful that over the years after all of us kids moved away Dal and Ramona would keep in contact with my folks who lived 3 houses away. My memories of Dal are of a good neighbor who we could always depend on.
