David John Cawdrey's Obituary
In loving memory of David John Cawdrey.
David John Cawdrey, born April 2, 1969, in Lakewood, Washington, passed away on April 4, 2025, in San Diego, California at the age of 56.
A beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend, David had many chapters in his life, as most of us do. He moved from being an independent and adventurous youth to a carpenter by trade, to married life with homes in California and Cabo San Lucas, to the van-conversion life, exploring the West and Midwest. David was always ready to lend a hand or help someone in need. He was compassionate and caring and loved a good adventure and a clever joke. He enjoyed golf, a good game of chess, and was an avid scuba diver.
David is survived by his siblings Marc Cawdrey (Sue) of Auburn, CA, Jeff Cawdrey (Bobbi) of San Diego, CA and Lori Watson (Tim) of San Diego, CA as well as his nine beloved nieces and nephews including Danny Cawdrey of Fair Oaks, CA, Ryan Cawdrey of Sacramento, CA, Kelsey Cawdrey of Wailuku, HI, David Alan Cawdrey of Littleton, CO, Tricia Cawdrey of Denver, CO, Christopher Cawdrey of Red Feather Lakes, CO, Katy Cawdrey-Culp of Reston, VA, Nathan Watson of San Diego, CA and Jordan Watson of San Diego, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Carole Cawdrey, his brother Daniel Cawdrey and sister Kimberly Cawdrey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to a local organization of your choosing that focuses on helping people in need.
