I was in the men’s restroom of the Enlisted Men’s club at Sangley Point Philippines. I had just zipped up and started to turn around when l heard an unmistakeable voice behind me say, “I’ll be damned, is that Arlie Blackshear of Travis Air Force days?!!” It was my good friend Dennis Boehme! It was a total surprise but a most unexpected and welcomed moment. We had a great time together that night. We went out on the beach to bar hop and trade post-Armijo stories. Now, I can’t believe he’s gone forever. One of the best friends anyone could ever expect to have. I had so many good times with him. Farewell my friend. Arlie Blackshear
