You will be greatly missed, Uncle Don. I was looking forward to your visit to Michigan in June – a rhubarb pie was going to be waiting for you. Such a colorful and happy life you lived, surrounded by people who love you. May you rest in peace.
Uncle Donald will be greatly missed. We always looked forward to his many summer visits back to Michigan for family reunions. We also have many fond memories of fishing trips in Oscoda, boating, and sharing family stories. May God bless him with peace and comfort his family.

Thank you for correcting me Favorite Neice in MI. I wish that our families had gotten to know each other better, I’m one of the many grandchildren born in San Diego to the Mary lineage. Cindy and Lisa, we all pray for peace and comfort for you his eldest daughters. He truly was a great man, he did so many great things. I “googled” his name and found some interesting things having to do with his military service, before I was born. My earliest memory was of him taking out his front teeth (a removable bridge) and scaring me, he laughed and laughed at how i cried in terror! I look back on that and laugh myself. I cherish ALL the many wonderful memories, he had a great sense of humor and was a “man’s man”. Truly a great example!
Grampy is survived by his 4-daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren among the 4-5 generations he was a part of. Grampy sacrificed much for our family. He always made sure we had everything we needed and some of what we wanted. He showed us how much he loved us more than he said. He was tough yet tender-hearted. He greeted our Gram lovingly every morning. She brought out the best and most in him. Grampy is so missed and we thank God for the bestest best grandfather a child could ever have.
Rest in peace Master Chief! Your four daughters and many many Grandchildren and Great grand children will miss you!
The entire family is very sad at our grandfather’s passing. He was one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. I will make a correction to this obituary. He is survived by four daughters total, two in Michigan – Linda and Mary I believe (please correct me any cousin who sees this) – and a daughter in Arizona named Lucia. The memories Grampa created for us all will be treasured forever, never forgotten. May God bless his passing as I am sure He blessed his beloved wife Maria’s passing a few years ago.
