Dorothy M. Shearer's Obituary
Dorothy M. (Pentz) Shearer, 82, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Saturday, May 5. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Shearer. Born and educated in Stoughton, Mrs. Shearer was a resident of Brockton since the 1950’s. She was a bartender at Jenks in Brockton for over 25 years before retiring in 1990. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to Foxwoods and pets. Mrs. Shearer is survived by her children, Audrey L. Farnsley, Jean A. Cambra, Lawrence C. Shearer and his wife Theresa and Leslie M. Bell all of Brockton, Joyce M. Johnson and her husband Randy of KY and Frederick L. Shearer of OH and her brother, William Pentz of MA. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Cathy Shearer of TN, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Paul W. Shearer and her brothers, Arthur Pentz, Jack Pentz, Cecil Pentz and Earl Pentz. Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 9 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
