Eric William Dawson's Obituary
Eric William Dawson, age 47, was born on October 27, 1977, in Wiesbaden, Germany. He passed away on April 4, 2025, following a fierce battle with cancer. He was an amazing father, a caring son, brother, uncle, and husband, and an incredible friend to everyone who crossed his path. He will be dearly missed.
Eric a miliary brat who lived with his father and brothers, moved to Fort Belvoir, Virginia and spent his teens in Joppa Towne, Maryland. He was the middle child of three siblings. His parents were Theodore Dawson, Sr. and Terri Dawson (Hobbs). He attended school at Edgewood High, developed an affinity to fix things, and then made his way to the west coast. Eric met and was married to his devoted wife Maria Dawson on September 7, 2012, in San Diego. He started his own company - Dawson Construction - and served the residents of San Diego for the past 25 years.
Eric is survived by his children Veronica Wright and Oliver Dawson, brothers Theodore Dawson, Jr. (T.J) and Codey Dawson, his nephews Theodore Dawson, III, Timothy Dawson, Christopher Dawson, Jack Dawson and Rasmus Rexander, his nieces Elizabeth Dawson, Jessica Dawson, Hayley Dawson, Sophia Dawson.
Eric was known for his sense of humor, strength and incredible kindness. He was there whenever his friends or family needed a hand. His hobbies include riding motorcycles, traveling, golfing, spending time with his family and showing off his precious little boy, “Bubba”.

His Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Clairemont Mortuary located at 4266 Mt Abernathy Ave, San Diego, CA 92117.
