Frances and Amador eventually married in Lima, Peru in 1966, then returned to San Diego, CA, where they made their home together for 47 years until her passing. Frances continued working in retail in San Diego, and eventually retired. She loved to shop, and her work all those years supported her passion.Frances was very proud of her twenty-one grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. All walls in her house (and the refrigerator) were full of pictures of all of them and she worked hard to remember birthdays and send cards. Her youngest granddaughter, Christina Murallo, was born in San Diego in 1994, and Frances and Amador were overjoyed by having a grandchild so close by, and being involved in her life as she grew up.Frances loved cooking for her husband, friends and family. Her favorites were cooking spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed shrimp, mashed potatoes, Spanish rice and papa a huancaina (a Peruvian dish!). And there was always dessert, either a cake or flan. Her son Robert, and grandsons’Joey, Marco and Robbie eventually migrated to San Diego and settled with their families, keeping a bit of her large family close-by.Frances loved music, dancing and going to the casino. She also loved to “dress to kill” per Amador, and collecting “coupons”. She teased that the money she saved she could justify spending gambling! We will all miss her high energy, friendship and love of life.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Clairemont Mortuary in San Diego, California.Frances’s family will receive visitors on Monday October 21, 2013, from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at Clairemont Mortuary. The The public viewing start at 4 p.m. and Memorial Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Clairemont Mortuary4266 Mt.
