Arrangements under the direction of Clairemont Mortuary, San Diego, CA.FRANCIS C. “CHUCK” RYNEARSON | Visit Guest Book RYNEARSON, FRANCIS C. “CHUCK” February 13, 1920 to December 23, 2011 On Friday evening our father, Retired Cheif Petty Office and Pearl Harbor survivor, died of natural causes. We lost our patriarch, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and true American hero. Dad was born in Davenport, Iowa and experienced the Great Depression, and served in World War II and the Korean War. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and was assigned to the USS California. His service in the Navy provided him with a strong sense of order, commitment to his country and to those he served with. After 20 years in the Navy, he retired at the rank of CPO and left the service in San Diego where he lived until his passing. Following his retirement he joined the City of San Diego Water Department and completer 23 years of service in 1953. He loved traveling and had many wonderful memories. Dad was very positive and happy man, dedicated to his country, his family, and his faith. He is survived by son Steve Rynearson, daughter Pamela Rynearson, and daughters-in-law Sharon and Candace. Preceded in death by son Robert Rynerson, his first wife of nearly 50 years, Adeline and his second wife of 16 years, Lucia. Seven grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. The funeral Mass will be at Holy Family Church at 10 a.m. on January 9, 2012. A private burial with family with military honors will be held and the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
