Frank Burton Fadich
July 31, 1953 – December 30, 2015
Frank Burton Fadich, age 62, was born on July 31st, 1953 in California and passed away December 30th, 2015 in San Diego. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lynn M. Froeschle along with their dog.
Frank was born to Burton and Bertha Fadich and grew up in Seattle with his brothers, Fred and Nick. He joined the Air Force in the ‘70s, then received his BSEE degree in the ’80s and became an electronic engineer, working for over 30 years in engineering.
Frank loved to hike, nature, and the environment along with astronomy, photography and scuba diving. In 2000, he hiked 223 miles of the John Muir Trail from Yosemite, culminating in climbing Mt. Whitney. In 2003, he and his architect wife, renovated their home lovingly and sustainably with green elements.
Mr. Fadich is also survived by his wife, parents, brothers and families (Fred’s wife Kelly, nephews Dylan and Jake) (Nick’s wife Colleen and niece, Shannon) along with his mother-in-law, Jan Froeschle and numerous relatives. He also appreciated all of the love and support from friends, family and the VA.
Frank’s “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be held at Clairemont Mortuary Chapel at 3PM on Friday, January 8th with light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, live plants are appreciated or donations in his name to The Nature Conservancy or San Diego Humane Society.
