Fred Jay Simonds' Obituary
Fred Jay Simonds, 52, passed away on February 15, 2008. Fred was born in Stoughton, where he was a graduate of Stoughton High School and went on to attend Northeastern University and Curry College. He is survived by his wife Susan of Orlando; beloved daughter Laura Simonds of Tallahassee, FL; stepchildren, Jenny Wirth of Orlando, and Nate Castonguay of NH. He was the son of Madelon and the late Robert Simonds, and grandson of Frances Magee and the late Hebert “Happy” Magee and the late Frank and Dorothy Simonds; the brother of Pamela, Paul, David, and the late Robert Simonds. Fred was also adored by 12 nieces and nephews; 4 grandchildren who brightened his life; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and the many friends that he made throughout his life. Fred will be laid to rest with his father at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, FL at his request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children 3160 Southgate Commerce Blvd. Ste. #50, Orlando, FL 32806. Memorial Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 1 at 9 AM.
