Gregory DeMattos' Obituary
DEMATTOS, Gregory P. April 30, 1947 to September 9, 2012 Greg, a San Diego resident for over 55 years, passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side September 9th, after a 2 year battle with lung disease. He was born in Lanai, Hawaii to Alfred and Mabel DeMattos. Greg was a carpenter by trade. He was proud to be a part of the Nielsen Construction family and recently received his 40 year pin from the Carpenters Union. He loved the desert, bowling and was most proud of his garden. Greg was a Vietnam Veteran and the proudest American we have ever known. He loved and adored his wife more than she will ever know. He is survived by his wife Barbara, Daughters Sandy, Laura, and Jamie, Son-in-laws Kyle, Bobbie and Joey, four Grand Children, his Mother Mabel, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Services will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 11am at Word of Life Worship Center, 8705 Echo Dr. La Mesa Ca 91941Private Interment at Miramar National Cemetery will follow.
