Joan and I taught together at Birney Elementary School. She was a wonderful teacher, coworker, and friend. I always enjoyed our conversations as we met on the playground, in our classrooms, or in the lounge. We'd discuss education, our students or our own families and children. I will always think of her with fond memories and admiration. My deepest condolences.
