Juanita Fernandez's Obituary
Juanita Fernandez was born in Cuahtemoc, Chihuahua on September 28, 1928. Daughter ofJose Moreno and Maria de la Luz Olivas. She was the fourth child of seven brothers and sisters.She was the last living member of her siblings and was reunited with them on October 30, 2019.On April 10th,1950 she married the love of her life, Jesus. As time went by, their familygrew and they welcomed 6 children but 2 of the children did not survive infancy. Their remainingchildren are Esther Lilia, Jesus Elias, Imelda and Carlos Arturo.Jesus and Juanita moved their family to San Diego, CA in 1967 to begin the nextchapter of their life. It was a tough change on them but, as a family they flourished. Theybought a home and started a business, Fernandez Construction Company. Her children eachmarried and started their own families. The family grew from 6 members to 4 in-laws, 11grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. We have all been blessed to have a strongfoundation and a united family. One of the biggest life lessons she taught us was that true loveexists. Jesus and Juanita were married for 69 years. The love that she instilled in each one ofus, will live on forever. She, known as Mami to her kids and Vita to her grandchildren, hastaught us the value of family and the importance of her Catholic faith.We will forever miss you… Don’t worry, we will take care of your viejito!
