Jung Hak Oatt, known affectionately as Lee to her friends and family, was a long-time resident of San Diego who passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Donald Oatt Sr. (d. 2002). Together, Jung and Donald Sr. raised five children: Dianna (David) Dull, Deborah (Nicholas) Candido, Darlene Armstrong, Donald Oatt Jr. (Annette), and Douglas Oatt. Jung is survived by her five beloved grandchildren: Nichole (Antonio Adamo) Candido, Rebecca Candido, Jennifer (Jared) Wilson, Sara Oatt, and Benjamin Dull, as well as six great-grandchildren: Olivia, Lily, Kayla, Brianna, Dylan, and Makaio. She is also survived by her sister, Kae Hak Lee, and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the devoted caregivers who provided her with such loving care. They also extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Advantage Healthcare Systems for their compassionate support during her time in hospice and throughout her final days.
Interment will be private, taking place at the convenience of the family, and there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association:
