Katherine B. Leahy's Obituary
Katherine B. Leahy, 93, died Wednesday, February 27 at her home in Stoughton. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent C. Leahy. Born in North Easton, she was educated in Stoughton schools. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and was a trustee of the Minerva Lodge. In her free time Mrs. Leahy enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, being a volunteer at the Goddard Hospital and especially being a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter Teresa “Terry” M. Leahy. She was the sister of Frances, Mary, Charles and Natalie Ruggiero of Falmouth, Virginia Schretlen of Falmouth, Helena Blum of Stoughton and Pauline Ruggiero of Stoughton and the late Querino, Guido and James Ruggiero. Also survived by her dear friend Patricia Martini of Stoughton. She is also survived by “Mary’s girls”, many nieces, nephews, friends, cousins and her beloved dog Winnie. Services will be held at a later date. Donations in Katherine’s memory may be made to Discalced Carmelite Monastery, c/o Sister Michael of Christ the King, 15 Mt. Carmel Rd., Danvers, MA 01923.
