Lawrence Robert Doria's Obituary
Lawrence Robert Doria, age 85 passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2025.
Better known as Larry, he was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 17th, 1940. In 1957 he moved with his mother and sister Lynne to Los Angeles and graduated from North Hollywood High School.
In 1967 he was drafted into the Army and served for 4 years until his honorable discharge in Chicago. After the service he moved to San Diego, CA and married Patricia Walton.
Early in his career he was a sales representative for various companies ranging from tobacco products to beauty supplies. Larry continued his education as an older adult and finished with a Master Degree specializing in children with autism and learning disabilities. He retired from San Diego Unified School District after teaching for many years. After retirement Larry became a Docent aboard The Midway and had over 3000 hours of volunteer work.
He also was an avid runner and enjoyed his sailboat. Larry is survived by his daughters Stephanie Doria McLaughlin, Kym Milburn, sister Lynne Doria Smith, and grandchildren.
Service will be held at Miramar National Cemetery on Thursday February 12th at 11:30am.
