Lil was a big part of the Clairemont community. She volunteered and was later an employee for
over 40 years at the San Diego Unified School District at Hawthorne Elementary, working as a
Teaching Assistant. Lil loved working with children and also spent her free time taking care of
her grandchildren and children in the entire Clairemont neighborhood. She also volunteered at
the Home of Guiding Hands, the San Diego Food Bank, and sang in the choir for her Church.
Lil is also known in her community as a bowler, she bowled for many years and was apart of
two bowling leagues. She liked spending time with her bowling friends, going on trips and
doing luncheons. She also loved cooking for her family, friends, and neighbors. She loved
every holiday and was known for many years for her holiday decorations. She cherished having
all her family home for holidays, birthdays, Friday night Pizza Nights, and Sunday barbecues.
She enjoyed having family get togethers at Mission Bay, and weekend trips to Arizona with her
husband in his Mustang.
Her family will miss her dearly and will always remember the strength she showed while
struggling with illness, and we will always be thankful for her dedication shown to her family
and friends.
