Linda H. Moyer, age 77, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. Born on May 22, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, Linda was the second of two children to Fred and Betty Haas. She spent her early years in Philadelphia, attending Mayfair Elementary School and graduating from Lincoln High School in 1965. Linda earned a degree in office practices and administration, receiving the Philadelphia School District Excellence in Stenography and Typing awards.
Linda worked as the secretary to the executive vice-president of Girard Bank in Philadelphia, PA, before retiring in 1967 after two years of dedicated service. Following her retirement, Linda embarked on a European tour from 1967 to 1968, visiting Italy, France, Spain, Greece, and Sweden. She lived in various places including Monaco, Luxembourg, Portugal, the Bahamas, and Canada, before settling in Virginia Beach, VA, West Hamptons, and finally San Diego, CA.
Linda married Skip Moyer on April 29, 1967, in Philadelphia, PA. She is survived by her loving husband Skip, son Bryan, and daughter Deborah. Linda cherished her special friends Meg, Sue, Kathy, Linda, Leslie, Eileen, Ken, and Ron.
An advocate for physical fitness and wellness, Linda was actively involved in aerobics and exercising. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of San Diego and a devoted believer in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In 1983, Linda was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), yet she continued to live her life with grace and positivity.
Linda was an avid ocean swimmer, often enjoying swims beyond Crystal Pier and down to the Jetty. She was a beautiful person who always had a smile for everyone she met.
Linda's warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
