Magdalen Demaya Timmer's Obituary
Magdalen Demaya Timmer returned to the Lord on February 14, 2025 after a two year battle with cancer. Maggie was born on September 11, 1951 in Riverside, California and was the only child of William Ruel Timmer and Tatiana Sokolova Timmer. The family moved to the new development of Allied Gardens in San Diego when she was an infant. Maggie graduated from Hoover High School in 1969. Maggie received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Grossmont College in 1972 and served as a nurse in the Air Force in San Antonio, Texas from 1974-1976. She returned to San Diego and started a career of more than 47 years as a Surgical Intensive Care nurse at Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest in 1978. She received her Bachelor's degree in nursing in 1979 from the University of San Diego. She was married to Orlo Kreutz from 1981-2000 and they had two daughters, Tanya and Carrie. Maggie enjoyed traveling and camping and she was always ready to check out any antique store she found. Her faith was a high priority in her life and she made several pilgrimages to Medjugorje in Bosnia Herzegovina.
Maggie is survived by Tanya and Manny Navarro and Carrie and Richard Kreutz-Landry.
