Son Michael and Granddaughter Kelley were allowed to visit 2 days before her passing. They suited us up in staff Covid protective gear and we were blessed spending time with her. We told her “We love you!” Not able to speak she nodded her head to each of us.

She played Clarinet in five bands; High School 1st chair, Quartet, German street corner, Concert, Swing, and Marching. A highlight was her Paulding High School Marching Band played at halftime for a University of Michigan Football game. Post high school she worked at General Electric assembling armatures on heavy duty motors. Her next employment was with the US Army and served as a nurse stationed at Brooke Army Hospital in San Antonio Texas during WWll. Her travels as a military wife took them to Corpus Christi, Texas where son Michael was born. A brief stop back to Ohio where brother Stephen was born at Defiance, Ohio. Next station was the exotic island of Trinidad off the coast of Venezuela where we shared many good times. We relocated to Naval Station Mayport Jacksonville, Florida for a few years.
