Michael Dennis Conroy's Obituary
Mike was born and grew up in Pasadena, CA. He was the fourth of seven children. His parents, Neil and Patricia raised the boys and sister, Maureen, to love God, country and golf. Mike came to San Diego to study and play golf at SDSU. He never left. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his CPA certification, Mike worked as a CPA and CFO in the construction industry. Erreca’s and Erickson-Hall benefitted from his dedicated service. He retired in 2018 and enjoyed golf, travel, books, his grandkids and volunteerism in his retirement.
Mike and his first wife Joanne were married in 1985 and raised three sons, Jared, Kyle and Ryan in the University City community. Mike and Joanne were active volunteers and instilled a love of God, country and sports - mostly golf. The boys played baseball, camped, skied, and thrived. Unfortunately, Joanne died suddenly in 2002, missing out on the beautiful families her sons eventually built.
In 2006 Mike was introduced to Suzi Bustamante, the second beautiful soul to grace his life. Mike and Suzi wrote a great second chapter and blended their families perfectly. They were married in a bluff-top ceremony in 2018.
Mike passed away suddenly, suffering a cardiac event on the same day as Joanne had years earlier. The timing and similarities made the loss that much harder for Ryan and Kyle and Jared.
Michael’s survivors include his wife Suzi Bustamante (daughter Jamie, her husband Chris and grandchildren Ayla and Nova Bustamante-Porter); son Jared Hernandez (and grandchildren Patrick, Harrison and Alex); son Kyle Conroy (wife Leilani and grandsons Dylan and Cody); son Ryan Conroy (wife Jillian and grandson Quinn); siblings Kevin and Jack Conroy and Maureen Loguercio and their families.
