Michael Paul Morris' Obituary
Michael (Mike) P. Morris, age 77, passed away on March 24, 2024, after a brief illness. Mike was born on February 23, 1947, in Appleton, Wisconsin. He was the first of six sons born to John P Morris and Paulette (Dreschers) Morris. Mike attended St. Joseph Grade School & Xavier High School, Appleton WI.
Mike was a Vietnam veteran who served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was honorably discharged and returned to Wisconsin where he received a business degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Mike received his Certified Public Accountant certification and was proud to work for a “Big Eight” accounting firm.
Mike moved to California and continued working as a financial executive until his retirement. Mike enjoyed playing tennis, piloting his drone and range shooting, participating in several tournaments.
Mike is survived by his daughter Rebecca Morris (partner Richard Marsh) San Diego, CA, brothers Robert (Gail) Morris, Madison WI, John Peter Morris (John Zuleger), Appleton WI, William (Deb) Morris, Kenosha WI, Charles (Cherie) Morris, Appleton WI, Paul (Terese) Morris, Appleton, WI and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mike will be laid to rest with military honors at Ft Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA. at a later date.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Oncology Department at Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego CA for their kindness and care of Mike.
