Michele Marie Valkoun's Obituary
Michele Marie Valkoun, 69, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on February 8, 1956, in San Bernardino, CA, Michele moved to San Diego, CA, in 1962 at the age of six. She was the third oldest of five children, born to James and Velia Valkoun.
Michele attended Whitman Elementary, Einstein Middle School, and Madison High School. She earned a degree in general studies and embarked on a fulfilling career as a mother and a dry cleaner. Throughout her life, Michele lived in various places, including San Bernardino, France, Michigan, and San Diego.
She was married to Steve Sames in San Diego and is survived by her son Jeremy, daughter Candace, big brother Dave, little sister Renee, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and special friends. Michele's family and friends were the center of her world, and she loved them deeply.
A devoted Christian for decades, Michele's faith was a guiding light in her life. She had a smile that could light up any room and was known for her kindness, compassion, loyalty, adventurous spirit, humor, stubbornness, and love for life.
Michele's life was marked by significant events, including the birth of her children, skydiving, and watching The Grateful Dead perform. She loved listening to her records, singing along, and dancing. Michele enjoyed movies like Flashdance, Urban Cowboy, and Dirty Dancing, and was a fan of Mariah Carey, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, and Billy Joel.
She did not have a car and walked everywhere, embracing her adventurous nature. Michele was a loving mother who adored her family and lived her life with joy and passion.
Michele will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
Michele is also survived by her cousins, Davey, Eddie, Louie, Regina, Cindy, Frank and Krissy, her nieces and nephews, Terras, Dave Jr., Harrison, Dallas, Alexis, Ava, Alexandra, Adriana, Estella, Eryck, Dawn, her aunt Raquel, aunt Alicia, uncle Louie and Uncle Dave. Her special friends were, Heddy, Maritza, Sean, Nick and Kathy.
