Born November 2, 1940 in Colorado Springs to Elgin Clare & Opal Annabelle Meck, Norm grew up exploring the Colorado Rockies and enlisted in the Navy shortly after high school. The Navy soon discovered his technical genius and sponsored his advanced education. His journey included being an amateur radio operator, a semi-pro soccer ref, an internationally known water chemistry expert, member of the Elks Lodge, producer for the Big Band Express, and an audio/visual expert and devoted member of the Branch Church.
Norm was a loving and generous man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling the world, cooking, and dancing the jitterbug. He had a great sense of humor and a zest for life that inspired everyone who knew him.
Norm’s legacy also lives on through his loving influence as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to a broad extended family. He is survived by his wife Deanna English Meck (m.2022), sons Robert (Anna) Meck and Remington (Connie) Meck, numerous grand & great grandchildren, and his sister Charlene O’Dell.
