Patricia Jane Rosenberger's Obituary
On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Patricia Jane Rosenberger, 90, went home to be with Jesus. She was a beloved woman of many titles. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of everyone around her with her sense of humor and great personality. Born in Woodstock, Illinois on December 23rd, 1933, Patricia spent most of her childhood there before moving to San Diego. She graduated from Point Loma High School and went to San Diego City College to pursue her degree in Dental Assistant.
While working as a Dental Assistant, her daughter Susan, became sick and coworkers suggested she take her to Dr. Gerald Rosenberger next door. Little did she know then that this chance encounter would lead to her marrying that kind doctor in 1965. He was the love of her life and he happily adopted her three children. They raised their family in Clairemont, actively involved in the church and greater community. Together they shared the love of Jesus to many and their door was always opened to family, friends, and those in need.
Patricia did not care for seasonal conventions; whether it was having Oktoberfest celebrations in July or keeping her Christmas tree up year-round, she did things at her own pace with a smile and a laugh. She volunteered as a pink lady at Clairemont Hospital and led a weekly women’s bible study for years. There was always a dog in her home and she would take great care in their oral hygiene as well.
She is survived by her brother David DeWolf, her children Mark, Scott, Susan, and Pedro, and her many grand and great-grandchildren. The family has elected to hold a private gathering for Patricia. In lieu of giving flowers, please donate to a local animal shelter in her name.
