To the family and loved ones of Colonel Ash:He was a great man who always put the wellbeing of others before him. As one of the men who served under him in Vietnam, I can tell you he had the respect an admiration of us all. His wisdom and experience as a leader and a soldier saved many of us from tragedy. I know because I am one who is still here because of his judgement and forethought.God Bless you and keep you all.John Patterson (Richmond, VA)http://9thmpcompany.webs.com/
