Mary, Phillip B & Matthew,How my Mom and I wish that Phil did not have to suffer the "sting" of death. But, we rejoice that we will see and enjoy him again soon. We wish we could take the pain away for that is what friend's are for. We just cannot get that wonderful smile of his out of our heads, forever.
Uncle Phil was a lot of FUN all the time and a lot of jokes. The best one was when Anita and I visited them in CA for Jill's wedding. Uncle Phil woke us up at 7 a.m. by banging on the door as hard as he could and scared us awake. He was not a good alarm clock…but we never forgot it. We will all miss him.
My Uncle Phil…..that Wink, that strong squeeze of my hand, and those four leaf clovers…got me every time.
How does one sum up a persons life? How would you want to be remembered? My Uncle Phil was a jokester so I'm sure he'd like that. His teasing Aunt Mary "Chick" was a constant. It taught us by example to have fun in our relationships.I will long remember the camper pulling up from Calif and being so excited to see everyone. I will long remember seeing laughter in his blue eyes. I have been blessed to know a generation of men and women that were unlike any other.
I will always remember our family trip to California. You went out of yourway to play host to us. My boys, Tom and I had a trip that we will neverforget. Your smile will be a memory that I will carry with me always.Rita Clough (Glenville,PA)

I will always have a special place in my heart for Uncle Phil. He was full of happiness, laughter, and love. Uncle Phil was known for his pranks, and made everyone laugh. I will always be grateful for the time I got to visit with him this past September. As always, love to all of the family, Jan and Jonathan
Fond memories of Uncle Phil, now let me ponder that one. My most fond memory of Uncle Phil was when we would get together and casually discuss Religion. It would get heated but never confrontational and Uncle Phil and I would end with agreeing to disagree. Till the next time.
