Rafael Hipolito Ramirez's Obituary
Rafael Hipolito Ramirez, 79, of San Diego, died Tuesday November 5, 2013. He was born to the late Feliciano and Refugio Hipolito Ramirez, Nov. 1, 1934, in Teul de Gonzalez Ortega. He married Consuelo Torres in 1952, and they lived together in Guadalajara, Jalisco., before relocating to Tijuana in 1955. He bought the San Diego house we all learned to call home in 1972. Rafael was a Supervisor/Manager until he retired from Sky Chef/Marriott in the late 90’s and was passionate about making a difference for his wife and family.Rafael was a parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Church. He loved baseball, and took all of his family to the game throughout his lifetime.Rafael is survived by his wife Consuelo Torres Ramirez, his children: Miguel Ramirez, Salvador Ramirez, Estela Shaver, Leticia Sherman, Victor Ramirez, Rafael Ramirez, and Consuelo Jaimes. He also is survived by 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.A viewing will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 10 at Clairemont Mortuary Funeral Home; 4266 Mt Abernathy Ave, San Diego, CA 92117. Burial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Angels; 656 24th St, San Diego, CA 92102.
