Raymundo T. Archival was born in Talamban, Cebu City, Philippines in 1930. He was one of seven children of Pedro and Ursula Archival. Raymundo served in the U.S. Navy for over 13 years. In 1960, he married his college sweetheart, Adelaida “Lingling” Buncad and they eventually settled in San Diego where they raised their family. Raymundo was known for working in his yard and baking his award-winning sweet rolls. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Raymundo is survived by his four daughters, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Clairemont Mortuary – 4266 Mt. Abernathy Ave., San Diego, CA, 92117 – on Friday, January 23rd from 3-8:30pm, with
the Rosary at 7pm. The funeral Mass is Saturday, January 24th at 11am in the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery – 4470 Hilltop Dr., San Diego, CA 92102. Interment will be immediately following at the same location.
