Richard Louis Stevens' Obituary
Richard Louis Stevens passed away September 15, 2015 in San Diego after an extended illness, surrounded by family. He was born on May 22, 1945 in San Diego. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Stevens and Janet Hall, and his sister, Bonnie Stevens. He was a proud Vietnam veteran, Naval rescue swimmer, and devoted Christian. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Retired in 2002 as an industrial engineering technician for the federal government, he went on to spend over 10 years as a County of San Diego volunteer in the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. He is survived by his wife Amy Stevens, daughters Sarah Anderson, Megan Sharpmack, and Rebecca Komorny, granddaughters Kaitlyn, Alexis, Paige, Allison and Lily, brother Chuck Stevens, and sisters Lorrie Stevens, Patty Bigler, and Kitty Ryan. Richard will be missed by all who knew him.
