Robert Dasco Hora's Obituary
Robert loved bringing people together. Whether family was gathered around the table or everyone was talking and laughing in the kitchen, those were the moments he cherished most. His presence made a house feel like home.
Born on August 30, 1963, in Paracale, Camarines Norte, Philippines, Robert grew up with a passion for the game of basketball. The sport taught him teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that stayed with him throughout his life and influenced the way he treated others.
One of the ways he showed his love was through cooking. He enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, not because he wanted recognition, but because seeing everyone together and enjoying themselves made him happy. Some of our favorite memories were made around the meals he prepared.
Above all, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and family man. His family was always his first priority. He taught us that love isn't measured by words alone, but by the sacrifices we make, the responsibility we take on, and the way we care for one another. Through his example, he showed us the importance of working hard, treating others with kindness and respect, and always putting family first.
Dad loved being surrounded by family. He loved telling stories, even if we'd heard them a hundred times before, because every time he told them, it was like he was reliving the moment all over again. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, and somehow he could always get everyone else laughing too. Looking back, those conversations, stories, and moments of laughter are some of the memories we'll treasure most.
He never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Whether someone needed help fixing something, moving, or simply needed advice, he was there without expecting anything in return. His generosity and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him.
He shared his life with his beloved wife, Luzviminda, whose love and partnership were the foundation of our family. Together they built a home filled with compassion, laughter, and unwavering support.
The greatest legacy Dad leaves behind is not only the memories we shared, but the values he instilled in us. We will carry forward his compassion, selflessness, and unwavering love for family. We are who we are because of him, and we will honor him by living the lessons he taught us every day.
Rest peacefully, Dad. Thank you for your sacrifices, your unconditional love, and for showing us what it means to live a life of kindness, integrity, and service to others. We love you, and we will carry you with us always.
