Robin Leigh-Pink's Obituary
February 22, 1949- June 16, 2025
Loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather Robin Leigh-Pink, 76, passed away on June 16th at Sharp Memorial Hospital surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
He was born February 22nd, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he was raised by his parents, Dorothy Kerr and Harry Leigh-Pink, alongside his siblings Janet, Phyllis, and Peter.
His family moved to Stockton, CA in 1950, where he met his high school sweetheart and soulmate, Beatrice, at Alonzo Stagg High. After graduating from high school, he then joined the Navy. On paper, he is a Retired Petty Senior Chief, who proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1993. But to us and all who knew him, he was so much more. He bonded with his children through attending Major League Baseball games, frequent ice cream runs, batting cage time, and especially being able to share his passion for baseball as he proudly took on the role of head coach to all of his children. He enjoyed playing card games like Pinochle and Hearts regularly with friends and family. Furthermore, he was passionate and proud of his coin collecting hobby over the years. Most of all, he was a dedicated, devoted, and loving husband. The beautiful bond he shared with Beatrice over 54 years of marriage could be felt by anyone who spent time with them. Through those years they shared their love with many foster children whom they loved as their own and Rob made sure felt at home from Hometown Buffet dinners to magic tricks like pulling a coin out of their ear. He was McDonald’s most consistent customer, and the Atlanta Braves’ second top supporter, with his wife being their top fan, of course. Rob and his trusty sidekick chiweenie, Peanut, were quite popular as they patrolled the neighborhood daily and greeted all canines and humans they passed. There was never a dull moment with the jokester who never missed the opportunity to make someone smile and went above and beyond to lend a helping hand, and his presence will be dearly missed.
Robin is survived by his sisters Janet Brooks, Phyllis McMasters, and Peter Leigh-Pink. His sons, Aaron (wife Krissenda) and Eric, and daughter, Brianna Leigh-Pink. Grandchildren Alexander, Kristian, Winter, Christian, and Abraham. And great-grandchildren Elaina, Margot, Maya, and Warren. His beloved wife, Beatrice Leigh-Pink, and son William Harry Leigh-Pink will greet him in heaven with open arms alongside his parents. He will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery on August 15th.
