Rodney Nicholas Hamm's Obituary
His life begins in sunny San Diego. He was born into the world at the Balboa Naval Hospital September 9, 1980, born the third child to his twin sister Renee. Rodney is survived by his father Willie M Hamm, mother Ardalia Hamm, brother Payshun Hamm, and sister Renee Hamm and a large extended family.
He was born into a loving family with fun adventures and travel. His relationship with his twin sister was his joy. He was a playful child that loved playing outside with other children with sports like baseball and kickball. As he grew older, he had multiple hobbies including collecting baseball cards. He grew up in Pacific Beach and graduated from Mission Bay High School in 1998. Rodney lived a life of laughter, joy and hope for others. He was a class clown that loved entertaining his friends.
Rodney thoroughly enjoyed watching sports especially football and listening to his mixed show on the radio and his mother’s cooking. His favorites included her mac and cheese, bacon and eggs, and her German Chocolate Cake. Rodney’s beautiful soul was full of life listening to eclectic music. He loved everything from hip hop to pop. He loved Beyonce and Nipsey Hussle, and Taylor Swift. He loved being of service to aid whoever asked for help and he had a great sense of sarcastic and wry humor.
He was a Christian with a very simple faith dedicated to loving his God and family. He valued family, laughter, joy and bearing the strength to always help and love those that asked him.
We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, support and encouragement during this difficult time. We are all going to miss his nightly good nights and his mom will miss his daily asking about what was for dinner. His dad will miss him being his biggest supporter. His brother will miss his smile and his sister will miss his sense of humor.
He will be interred at Cypress View Mausoleum, Mortuary and Crematorium on July 3rd, 2023 at 2:30
Viewing will be held on July 2nd at Clairemont Mortuary.
